English: The Modern Bridge at Ferrybridge, framing John Carr's Bridge The modern bridge that crosses the River Aire at Ferrybridge carries a two lane dual carriage way which, until January 2006, carried the A1, Great North Road. With the opening of the new Darrington to Hook Moor section of the A1(M), which is a three lane dual carriage, a new river crossing was constructed upstream between Ferrybridge C Power Station and Fryston. This section of A1 is now re-designated A162. |
