| Description |
English: The Northway, Portadown (1). The Northway is a through-pass connecting the M12 350735 to the roads to Newry and Armagh.
It was built, in part, on the bed of the GNR(I) Portadown/Armagh/Monaghan/Clones/Cavan line - closed in stages between 1957 and 1960 (although a stub remained in Portadown, as a siding to the Metal Box factory on the Brownstown Road until 1965. The level crossing hut remained for another few years). This is the view towards the centre of Portadown from the Brownstown Road flyover. Continue to 1597606. |
