| Description |
English: The Old Light, Lundy, from the west The tower and keeper's house were designed by Daniel Alexander. The light became operational on 21st February 1820 but the height of the light meant that it was often obscured by clouds. Two further lighthouses were built nearer to sea level at the north and south points of the island and the Old Light is now redundant.
The breed of sheep is Soay, originating on St. Kilda. |
