English: The Quantum Leap (2) This new sculpture (Quantum Leap) stands at just over 12 metres high and it is 17.5 metres long. The sculpture's ribs alone weigh more than 113 tonnes, with foundations and piles adding a further 93 tonnes.
The shape represents part of a DNA double helix the molecule at the very centre of the evolutionary process, and marks Darwin's bicentenary |
