Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Red Cross Inn Late 16th century Grade II listed pub, named after the medieval Chapel of the Holy Cross which stood nearby. For listing particulars see http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=289353&resourceID=5. The name of the pub gave a useful excuse to waive the red flag of St George for St George's Day.
