| Description |
English: The Sea Dock at Beaumaris Castle. This dock allowed the castle to be supplied by sea. Linked to the Menai Straits by a channel it could accommodate vessels of up to 40 tons weight. The Gunners' Walk on the right was designed to provide covering fire for vessels in the dock. The similarities with Fort XMG (Crossmaglen joint army/police base) are striking. Helicopters were the ships there but the constant availability of covering fire was equally necessary.
