Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Summit Of Sletill Hill The intrepid, if slightly eccentric, explorer who has squelched his way up the soggy slopes of Sletill Hill expecting to find a place unchanged since the ice age (save for the O.S. trig column) is in for a disappointment. The top of this insignificant hill is adorned with a small square aerial, several heavy duty rechargeable batteries, many yards of cable coiled haphazardly in the heather, a control box of some kind, two solar panels and a camera (which rotates through 360 degrees both horizontally and vertically) strapped to the trig column.

The purpose of all this technology is unclear (to me at least), it may be military or meteorological or maybe even a rudimentary probe from an alien civilisation.

If it is the latter we can but speculate what our Martian neighbours must make of this strange world, a world of rain, red deer, two dogs, a makeweight geographer and his girlfriend.
