| Description |
(1 in a multiple picture album) The Court of the Patriarchs is one of the first and most favorite views as you enter Zion. The early Mormons, some of whom settled in the canyon, named the formations for the Biblical leaders, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I caught this shot early in the morning just as the rising sun was beginning to touch the tips and move down. It was a real experience to watch Mother Nature slowly painting her light down the rock faces until the full formations with in sunshine. |
