In the upper part of the page is Samuel, visible as a man with curled hair that meets with his thick beard. He holds his arms aloft. He wears a thick toga-like robe that covers his body from neck to shins. He stands on top of a parapeted wall. Behind him, a tree line is visible, as is the sky, though the time of day isn't clear. Below Samuel is a crowd who are reaching for and attacking him. The nearest seem only a few feet away. Two men have bows; one of them has fired an arrow toward Samuel. One person is reaching for rocks on the ground. Another person has a traditional sling and has slung stones at Samuel. One man with a beard and a head covering, standing in the bottom of the image, holds a staff aloft. Most of the crowd are bearded, but some are not; whether the un-bearded individuals are women is not certain. In the lower left corner is a signature initial: "HW". In the lower right corner is the text "THE WARNING OF SAMUEL THE LAMANITE".
