Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Watson House was designed by Hugh Cathcart Thompson in 1881. Thompson designed over 50 buildings, churches, and homes, but only nine still stand. In Nashville, he designed the Ryman Auditorium, the Utopia Hotel, the Ambrose House, additions to Glen Leven Farm, and his personal residence at 1201 Holly Street in Nashville. In Franklin, Tennessee, he designed the Watson House, the LeHew Mansion, and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He also designed the First Methodist Church in McMinnville, Tennessee.
