English: The Wey South Path, West of Pallingham. The path here follows a side valley of the Arun. At the foot of this little valley is Furnace Barn and Furnacepond Cottages. The old furnace pond is still there, a reminder of former iron industry times. Local wood would have been used for charcoal. |
