English: The bellstone at Morris Hall. The granite boulder know as the Bellstone, which also gave the street its name.
Note the contrast it makes with the soft local Red Sandstone of the wall behind. These hard igneous rocks make a ringing sound when struck hence the name. See 1731055 for further details. |
