Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The church of St Peter & St Paul - the north side Viewed from the public footpath, a section of the Weavers Way, which starts in a bend of the unnamed road leading from Sustead to Thurgarton. It leads past the church of SS Peter & Paul > > 715030 - leading across fields in northwesterly direction where it links with Sustead Lane. The church of St Peter & St Paul - see also > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/715030 - has a round tower with a south-facing doorway at its base (seen here). Greatly restored in the 19th century, the south chancel windows are by William Wailes > 715050 and there is an interesting and unusual early 19th century east window > 715045. Older survivals are the 15th century font > 715037 and the late 17th century pulpit adorned with carved angels. For more information see: http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/sustead/sustead.htm
