English: The drawbridge at the entrance to George's Dock. The George's Dock draw bridge on Custom House Quay. These twinned Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridges were designed to lift by rolling back on their rockers to permit ships to enter and leave George's Dock. The process took some 5 minutes. |
