| Description |
English: The friar's grave, Belfast. See 363145. Friar's Bush graveyard now has very restricted opening. When this photo was taken it was open to all and sundry and was in a neglected state (since corrected). This headstone (if original) is possibly the oldest man-made object still in use in Belfast. It reads "This stone marks ye friar's grave AD 485". The graveyard is still (in theory anyway) open but only for those with existing burial rights. |
