Description And here is the big boy himself. This is the gargantuan 33 mtr long reclining Buddha statue inside Wat Chayamangkalaram, the Thai Buddhist temple in Penang. Some locals refer to it as the 'sleeping Buddha'. In front of the Reclining Buddha there are smaller shrines of different Buddhas and popular Thai deities. You can see a long line of different kinds of typically Thai style smaller Buddha statues as well in the foreground. (Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia, Nov. 2013)
