Summary[edit]

Description
English: The grave of James Chaine, Larne. James Chaine as well as being the local MP was also the owner of Larne harbour. He was most assiduous in his duties and, in May 1885, while making last-minute preparations outdoors for the arrival of Prince Edward, he caught a chill from which he died. He is buried in this grave at the Bankheads overlooking the approach to the harbour.
