| Description | Here is a large one in another of the pits. There was one huge, and I mean huge, (did I mention huge?) salt water crocodile straddled below with his head on the left of the walkway and his tail on the right. Meaning he was right below us. No way we could take a picture of him, thanks to his position! Not to mention the crowds. Talking of which, I found myself at the end of a long line of families, some blocking the way taking pictures when the guide was explaining something about the gargantuan beast below. Amidst the oohs and the aahs, I could make out something like 'moss on his back'. Meaning this huge fellow actually had moss growing on his back. No wonder, a slob like that, vegetating all the time in the water, and not having to catch his own food, what else can one expect! (Puerto Princesa, Philippines, May 2013) |
