| Description |
English: The stone house, Much Park Street
This medieval sandstone building was 're-discovered' in the mid-20th century when WWII bombing in 1940 destroyed surrounding brick buildings. It had a main first floor chamber with a vaulted undercroft below. Unusually for a stone built building which would have been occupied by someone of reasonably high status, nothing is known of the history of this building other than it may date from the late 14th century. |
