English: The new Karlruhe Friendship tramway bridge from Platform 3 on the main railway station in the English city of Nottingham. The new tramway bridge, which has just been inched into position, will carry the tramway extension to Clifton and Chilwell. It crosses the station on the same alignment as the Great Central Railway bridge which was removed in the 1980s. An early-morning St Pancras train stands at Platform 4. By way of comparison see this image, which shows the same scene just over a month before, without the new bridge. This was a favourite spot for photographers in the days of steam. |
