| Description |
English: The upper valley of Thackthwaite Beck The valley is a closed depression (like a doline) with no surface outflow. The beck sinks at a number of points along the foot of the steep bank emerging a few hundred metres away in a steep ravine out of view to the right. A residue of vegetation suggests that a small lake forms in flood conditions. |
