Sedran "was named Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Adam Opel AG, effective July 17, 2012. He will act as chairman until a permanent chairman is in place. He assumes this responsibility in addition to his role as Board Member in charge of Operations, Business Development & Corporate Strategies which he holds since April 2012." (Quote from the official presentation of Opel leading personnel at the Opel Media website). On March 1st, 2013, Sedran is being replaced in his function as acting chairman.Deutsch: Dr. Thomas Sedran spricht mit Pressevertretern am Tag der Offenen Tür aus Anlaß des 150. Firmenjubiläums der Adam Opel AG am 22. September 2012 im Rüsselsheimer Opel-Werk.
Sedran "wurde am 17. Juli 2012 zum stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden des Vorstands ernannt. In dieser Funktion übernimmt er vorübergehend die Wahrnehmung des Geschäfts des Vorstandsvorsitzenden. Sedran übernimmt diese Aufgaben zusätzlich zum Vorstandsressort Operations, Geschäftsentwicklung und Unternehmensstrategien, das er seit 1. April 2012 bekleidet."
