Summary[edit]
DescriptionThroop, Berry Hill path - geograph.org.uk - 734960.jpg |
English: Throop: Berry Hill path The path from the Stour to Throop has been diverted from the route suggested on the map, for 15 years to my knowledge. From the river, the inland stretch continues in its initial direction, meeting up with the lane alongside the works. The pink diamonds on the map, denoting the Stour Valley Way, more correctly indicate the path.
The pictured part, however, follows the original route as shown on the map. The mighty Berry Hill is certainly not of mountaineering proportions; it reaches the dizzy heights of 15 metres above sea level. Its summit is not really discernible and, even compared with its immediate surroundings, it is surprising that it is given a 'Hill' name! |
