Deutsch: Titanit (Sphen) und Apatit-(CaF)(Fluorapatit) - Fundort: Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Kanada - Sichtfeld 3,2 x 2,5 mm - Schöner, funkelnder "Sphen" mit komplexen, wasserklaren Apatit-Kristallen. Die kleinen, schwarzen und schön entwickelten Prismen haben sehr scharfe Kanten. Sie finden sich allgemein in vulkanischen Brekzien, aber in all den Jahren konnte ich nicht herausfinden, ob es Amphibole oder Pyroxene sind.
English: Titanite (Sphen) and Apatite-(CaF) (Fluorapatite) - Locality: Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada - FOV 3.2 x 2.5 mm - Nice gemmy "sphene" with a very complex water clear apatite xl. The little black prisms are very sharply formed and beautifully terminated. They are very common in the igneous breccia. But after all these years I haven't even figured out if they are amphibole or pyroxene.
