| Description |
Français : Vue de Tours médiévale. Gravure sur bois qui date du milieu du XVIe siècle et aurait pu être réalisée par Bernard Salomon. Mesurant 27,5 x 36 cm, elle est intitulée " Le vif pourtrait de la noble ville et cité de Tours ", une expression qui rappelle la double origine de l'agglomération. On la trouve dans l'Epitome de la corographie d'Europe, illustré de pourtraitz des villes plus renomées (sic) d'icelle, mis en françoys par Guillaume Guéroult, publié à Lyon chez Balthazar Arnoullet en 1553 mais cet exemplaire a été édité en 1564 par un autre imprimeur lyonnais, Jean d'Ogerolles |
