| Description |
English: Beamish Museum, County Durham, England. A variety of steam powered vehicles seen in the yard on the Town railway, during the 2012 Great North Steam Fair (12-15 April). Looking south, the goods shed is behind the camera (with its southern siding in shot, nearest the camera). The vehicles are presumably loading up on the coal from the pile on the left, which in reality was probably delivered by road, but in keeping with the museum's reenactment mission, could also be said to have been delivered by rail (perhaps even from the museum's own Colliery) - to the coal drops (the roof of which is visible behind the vehicles). |
