| Description |
English: Tracks to the First and Ground Floors On the left of the photograph can be seen the high level track which served the first floor and, on the right, the lower level track serving the ground floor, each connecting the mill to the Gorseddau tramway. The layout of the mill's interior is not clear, but its reasonable to assume that slate slabs entering the mill would come along the low level spur and that the heavy sawing and planing machines would be sited on the ground floor. The semi-processed slabs would then be trucked out and on to the high spur to be taken into the first floor where they would be polished and finished. |
