Before standardised to match England, these parts used blɪnd/kɪnd; lang and neet (IPA: nit) (for night) as in parts of Scotland adjoining, the latter avoidance of /aɪ/ stays common.

Summary[edit]

Description The isoglosses between [i]/[aj] ('neet'/'nite'), [a]/[ɔ] ('lang'/'long'), and [ɪ]/[aj] ('blinnd'/'blined'). Based on "The Dialects of England" by Peter Trudgill; needs to be redone in the long term by someone who knows how to draw maps properly.
