| Description |
English: Trent and Mersey Canal at Shardlow, Derbyshire. The canal was not fully opened until 1777, but this section through Shardlow was in operation by 1770, and many businesses and warehouses were established soon after, including this corn mill in 1780, with its own covered boat loading bay.
Now it has been converted to a public house and restaurant called The Clock Warehouse, operated by Marston's Brewery Shardlow Lock, the second of six wide locks is on the left. |
