| Description |
English: Trichomes are dissimilar of the epidermis in plants in the form of hairs, scales, bristles, etc.These epidermal extensions prevent the plant from drying out, regulate gas exchange, and perform protective functions against herbivores and insects.
Українська: Трихоми - це різноманітні вирости епідермісу у рослин у вигляді волосків, лусочок, щетинок і т.д. Ці епідермальні розширення запобігають висиханню рослини, регулюють газообмін і виконують захисні функції проти травоїдних і комах. Рослини можуть представляти різні типи трихомів або, в деяких випадках, трихома є специфічним видом аналізованого роду або виду.
