Description

Trolleholms slott utanför Eslöv. Slottet hyrs idag ut till Trolleholms Slott AB som via nyttjandandelar upplåter det som plats för möten för företag. Trolleholms gods ägs idag av Carl Trolle-Bonde som privat egendom, fram till 1974 var det ett fideikommiss. Slottet har anor från 1538 och borgen Eriksholm som uppfördes av danska riksrådet Tage Ottesen Thott och som brändes ned under dansk-svenska kriget 1678. Efter förfall byggdes slottet om på 1750-talet och fick sitt nuvarande utseende på 1800-talet under ledningen av den danske arkitekten, etatsrådet Ferdinand Meldahl. Då inreddes biblioteket som idag rymmer en av Nordeuropas största boksamlingar med cirka 45.000 volymer. Trolleholms eget lantbruk omfattar cirka 1.500 hektar.
