Summary[edit]
DescriptionTsunami beach map on the Japan Sea in Fukui prefecture.jpg |
English: The emergency information is mostly conveyed in visual form, although some text in Japanese and in English is provided, too, along with the yellow triangle at top left to show the tsunami icon. Similar signs on buildings and poles along the village report the height above mean sea level. After the March 2011 Great East Japan triple disaster a national project to put coastal signage was begun to minimize deaths caused by the tsunamis which occur most frequently on the Pacific side of the islands. 日本語: 津波避難場所地図(福井市浜住町) |
