English: Tunnel Refineries This is a large (27 acre) compound owned by Amylum UK. Wheat and starch are processed here to turn them into thickeners and sweeteners for the food industry. There is a distinctive smell from the site, which can often be detected as you approach the Blackwall Tunnel on the A102. |
