| Description |
English: Ty Capel a Chapel Cwm-coryn. This small Calvinistic Methodist chapel was erected in 1871 to serve a very thinly populated area. A chapel house was also built adjoining it, which provided residence for the caretaker - an unpaid job. The caretaker usually lived there rent free for his/her services in cleaning and maintaining the chapel. In the days of modern transport and falling attendances, the chapel, like many similar daughter-chapels, was closed. Those wishing to attend 'means of grace' do so now at the mother-chapel in Llanaelhaearn. |
