Description
English: Hue, South Vietnam. May 1970. An American 'dust-off' pilot explains the use of the jungle penetrator for winching patients out through thick canopy when landing is impossible to Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) advisers Warrant Officer (WO) Class 1 Tom Waters of Duntroon, ACT, and formerly Boulder, WA (centre), and WO2 Dennis Heenan of Rosanna, Vic (right). WO1 Waters is relieving WO2 Heenan as the Australian adviser with the 2nd Battalion, 54th Regiment, 1st Vietnamese Division, and before leaving for the field he is being run through the technical aspects of his new job.
