From left to right the nurses are Ensign Cheryl Niega, Lt. Cmdr. Susan M. Pennebecker, Ensign Virginia Hinrichs and Ensign Kelly J. Bowman. The nurses frequently risk their lives to provide quality medical care and ensure the stability of wounded Marines and other patients during transport from the SSTP to higher-echelon care.
