Description
English: More than 250 personnel departed Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in support of operations in southern Afghanistan Feb. 1. “I’m excited, this is my first deployment and a new journey,” said Cpl. Keith A. Hoffee, an embarkation specialist with II Marine Expeditionary Force. “It’s what we do as Marines and I’m finally getting the chance to contribute.” This large group consisted of personnel from Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons 40, 26, 14 and 29, 4th Marine Division and an international officer. 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) will conduct aviation operations in order to support the Afghan southwestern regional command combined team.
