Description
English: A U.S. Marine with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, stands with the help of crutches in front of a memorial at Camp Abu Ghurab, Iraq, to remember four of the company's fallen, Sgt. Christopher T. Heflin, Sgt. Morgan W. Strader, Lance Cpl. Jeremy A. Ailes and Lance Cpl. Juan E. Segura Dec. 27. Heflin was a 26-year-old native of McCracken, Ky., and his personal decorations include the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with a gold star, and the Purple Heart. His father Daniel K. Heflin and mother Meleasa K. Ellis survive him. Strader was a 23-year-old native of McReary, Tenn., and his personal decorations include the Combat Action Ribbon and the Purple Heart. His father, Gary W. Strader and mother, Linda L. Morgan survive him. Ailes was a 22-year-old native of Gilroy, Calif., and his personal decorations include the Combat Action Ribbon and the Purple Heart. His stepfather, Joel M. Ailes and mother, Lana Ailes survive him. Segura was a 26-year-old native of Homestead, Fla., and his personal decorations include the Combat Action Ribbon and the Purple Heart. His father, Jesus Torres Jr. and mother, Maria A. Torres survive him.
