Description
English: Insignia of the U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Inchon (LPH-12), in 1977.
This insignia, adopted in 1959, was the result of a design contest held among the ship's crew. It featured an eagle holding an olive branch in one claw and a rifle in the other, thus symbolizing Boxer's readiness for peace or war. The Latin motto, translated as "willing and able," indicated Boxer's ability to perform any assignment.
