Description The U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer USS Charles F. Adams (DDG-2) launches a RIM-24 Tartar missile against a target, in 1972. Charles F. Adams launched two missiles, one malfucioned, one hit the target. The destroyer was assigned to the NATO Standing Naval Force Atlantic (STANAVFORLANT).
