Description LOT 10469-4: USS Commodore Hull at Plymouth, North Carolina, engaging the batteries on October 29, 1864. Commodore Hull was an ex-ferry boat and served in the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron. Photo-types by Gutekunst of water color paintings by A.C. Stewart, an Engineer in the U.S. Navy during the War of the Rebellion, compliments of the William Cramp and Sons Ship and Engine Building Company to Colonel W.B.
