Description Cloth jacket patch of the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Decatur (DD-936) featuring the ship's emblem, as used in 1960. Its motto, "Our Country May She Ever Be Right", is based on Commodore Stephen Decatur's April 1816 toast: "Our County! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but our country, right or wrong."
