Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Navy light cruiser USS Juneau (CL-52), probably at Espiritu Santo, New Hebrides, circa 17 September 1942. The 28 mm quadruple gun and the 127 mm/38 turret belong to the destroyer USS Laffey (DD-459) which transported survivors of the aircraft carrier USS Wasp (CV-7), which was sunk by a submarine on 15 September 1942.
