Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carriers USS Leyte (CV-32), left, and USS Oriskany (CV-34) at anchor in Genoa, Italy. Leyte, with assigned Carrier Air Group 3 (CVG-3), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 3 September to 21 December 1951, Oriskany, with CVG-4, was depolyed to the Med from 15 May to 4 October 1951.
