Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge (CVS-45) and a Forrest Sherman-class destroyer during an anti-submarine warfare exercise in 1957. Note the Grumman S2F-1 Trackers of Anti-Submarine Squadron 36 (VS-36) "Gray Wolves" and the Sikorsky HSS-1 Seabats of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 5 (HS-5) "Night Dippers" being in the process of transition from the sea blue to the grey/white camouflage scheme.
