Summary[edit]

Description

English: Aerial of river Upper Danube on the western Swabian Alb. The photo shows two abandoned stretches of entrenched meanders at Mühlheim an der Donau and at Nendingen. Very slowly their erosional work modulated the surrounded mountains into exposed “meander cores”. The valley in the foreground is a the Danube tributary Lippach.
