. Портрет происходит из собрания князя М. К. Горчакова, с 1923 г. — ГРМ, с 1939 года — Киевский музей русского искусства. Авторское повторение этого портрета ныне хранится в Музеи искусства Грузии, до революции портрет принадлежал Марии Ивановне Мятлевой, урожд. Донауровой (1843—1918) и экспонировался на Таврической выставке 1905 года № 890. Изучив родословные владельцев портрета, можно предположить, что на портрете изображена прабабушка Донауровой, графиня Наталья Львовна Соллогуб, ур. Нарышкина (1761—1819), славившаяся при дворе своей пышной красотой и любовью к большому декольте.
