Summary[edit]

Description
English: exposed udp chip with visible markings, includes nand flash with a controller, mounted onto what looks like a standard black pcb, nand flash made by Toshiba (according to chipgenius; Toshiba spun off its memory division becoming toshiba memory which became kioxia), looks like a hybrid ic encapsulated in glass filled epoxy, date code 4512 (45th week of 2012), this is a 4 gigabyte chip. this chip goes inside a metal shell, which goes inside a plastic outer shell, which would be the outside of an usb drive. the metal shell forms the usb connector. the chip cannot be connected directly to an usb port; it's too thin. that's what the metal shell is for.
