English: : Vár-tó Park (means Castle Lake Park), located south of Castle of Kisvárda. Former was a part of the castle defence system (with other small ponds), now it is a recreation and event venue. A local level nature protected area. In the middle of the Lake is a small island (islet) with bridge. In the water a fountain, a Water Jet working . Around the lake,-along walkways,-are information boards. - Vár Street, Kisvárda, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, Hungary. Magyar: : A kisvárdai vár déli oldalán található nagyobb tó, a Vár-tó, egyes térképeken mint a kisvárdai északnyugati-tó szerepel. Vízes élőhely. Helyi jelentőségű védett természeti terület. Növényzete nádas, betyárkoró, sünitök, békalencse, fehér fűz, enyves éger. Állatvilága: cigányréce, függőcinege, bakcsó, vöröshasú unka, mocsári teknős. a sziget felől északra nézve - Forrás: A Földkelte kulturális egyesület tájékoztató táblája alapján. - Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megye, Kisvárda, Vár utca.
