Summary[edit]

Description
English: Vardøhus Museum at the former Lushaugen Quarantine Station on the outskirts of Vardø town, located in the far east of Finnmark county in Northern Norway.
  • The red sandstone building called Lushaugen in Vardø, built in 1922, served as a quarantine station and is located on St. Hanshaugen. This historical site features preserved layout, sandstone façades, and was used to control health issues for travelers to Russia and as a facility for fishermen. The name "Lousy Hill" reflects its purpose. It survived World War II bombings and remains intact today.
